The property
Il Faro delle Formiche stands on the island of Formica Grande, the largest of the three Formiche di Grosseto, off the coast of southern Tuscany. The island covers just 6 hectares and offers an extremely secluded setting, surrounded by the sea and nature. The transfer is by sea from the port of Talamone and takes about 40 minutes; a helicopter transfer is also available on request.
Built in 1901, the lighthouse retains the charm of its seafaring history and has been transformed into a property dedicated to exclusive stays. The island can host up to 4 guests, with a minimum stay of two nights, offering an experience defined above all by privacy, silence and direct contact with nature.
Guests have at their disposal two double bedrooms with private bathrooms, common areas and several spaces dedicated to relaxation. During the stay you can swim, snorkel, practise yoga, stand-up paddleboarding, shore fishing and other activities; diving, boat trips, cooking and photography courses and other private experiences can also be arranged on request.
